L'Art de vous accueillir

The area, that of Burgundy, an anchor for the Maison Lameloise, a veritable institution of French Gastronomy and which appeared in the first Michelin Guide in 1900, is the source of 100 years of a certain art de vivre. It is here, in Chagny, that a history of Chefs & stars began where three Lameloise generations have succeeded, Pierre, Jean & Jacques.

The history of a gourmet dynasty ensued from 2009, Chef Eric PRAS (Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2004) and Frédéric LAMY, the host, at the head of this former Coach House from the fifteenth century.

Éric and Frédéric

In 2008, Eric Pras a young chef of 36, Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2004, until then Régis MARCON’s right-hand man took his place in the kitchen alongside Jacques Lameloise. A new story unravelled within the walls of the illustrious Maison…

In 2009 the Maison Lameloise turned a new page. At 62, Jacques definitively left his position to Eric Pras whose food had already seduced both old and new clientele. An example of transmission or philosophy, the culinary art remained faithful to the motto of the Maison: Tradition is innovation!

For Frédéric LAMY it was like going back to his roots. Then a young graduate of Lausanne Hotel School, he trained under Paul Bocuse. For him, the desire to fully invest himself in his own business had been met, not forgetting the essential emotional dimension for this Chagny native.
